New Hampshire needs every party's consent to record a call. We found no state law that requires telling a caller they are speaking with an AI.

This is a guide for clinic owners, not legal advice. Every line points to the law or the regulator's own page, checked on 2026-10-21. Where we could not confirm something, the page says so.
New Hampshire bars intercepting a communication without the consent of all parties to the communication (570-A:2(I)), so recording a call needs every party's consent.
We found no state law that requires a business or health provider to tell a caller, texter or patient they are dealing with an AI. This rests on secondary trackers and web searches, not on the legislature's own search, so it is a finding of none found and not proof that none exists.
New Hampshire's privacy chapter does not apply to a covered entity or business associate as defined in 45 CFR 160.103, and it exempts protected health information under HIPAA. HIPAA still binds a covered clinic and its business associate vendor.
New Hampshire requires any person intending to use an automatic telephone dialing system for solicitation in the state to register with the consumer protection and antitrust bureau at least 10 business days before using it. That is a registration rule for solicitation, not a consent rule. We did not read the rest of the chapter. The federal rules on AI-voice calls and texts apply as well.
We found no statement from the New Hampshire Board of Dental Examiners on AI agents. Our check was a web search, not a search of the board's own site, so this is not proof of absence.
We found no statement from the New Hampshire Board of Medicine on AI agents. Its Board of Medicine page lists a joint statement with the Board of Nursing whose topic we did not open. Our check was a web search, not a search of the board's own site, so this is not proof of absence.
The federal rule applies here; nothing specific to this place was found.
The ADA requires a public accommodation to provide effective real-time communication, including text telephones and FCC-approved relay systems. A clinic phone line answered by an AI agent must still work for a relay caller.
Aida opens every call with the recording notice your province or state needs, and says it is the practice's AI agent wherever you want it to. Request a demo with your clinic's rules in mind.
